    My first-ever personal Armalite rifle

I have a rifle now kept in Iowa that I don't think the Left in power will let me have in Kommie-fornia. It's now at my central Iowa apartment. I'm renting an apartment while visiting my brother.

This is my new Colt Carbine CR6920 in 5.56 NATO with a few custom extras. 16" barrel. Magpul PMAG 30-rd. plastic magazine. There is no bullet button but rather a thumb button that releases the mag when all the bullets have been fired out of it using the index finger button (aka the trigger).

What part of "shall not be infringed." don't they understand? Gun restrictions are not about your safety or mine. They are all about destroying America.

I am looking for the day when the SCOTUS strikes down "assault rifle" bans in all states for good. In Iowa, we still have stupid "gun free zones" such as on the campuses of public schools, colleges, universities and even at the state fair here. Concealed pistols, Iowa and most CC states, can be carried WITHOUT a permit in most public places and private places that are not posted. I carry my fanny-pack-hidden Smith & Wesson SD9 VE 9 mm even inside the Iowa Walmart. The door sign says, "Please don't open carry firearms." However, even in Red states, some private businesses have "no gun" signs on doors including Staples and virtually each and every healthcare or dental care facility. You will be hard-pressed to find a homeless shelter without a "no guns" policy anywhere in America. I do have a non-resident Iowa CCW anyway. Colorado honors it but not Illinois, Minnesota, New Dork, New Jerk-sey, Bastard-chussets, Oregon, Washington state, Nevada and Kommie-fornia. In Iowa and several other states, a valid CCW allows you to legally get around NICS checks at gun shops.

The medical, media, entertainment (save for the likes of Charlton Heston and Chuck Norris) and educational communities in this nation are largely anti-gun. The VA frowns upon Vets who own firearms.

Mine is only semi-automatic and therefore would not qualify as a modern military carbine. It's a great SHTF prepper's weapon though.

As a policy, the VA does not frown upon Vets owning firearms. You might have a provider with their own views but that is not representative of VA policy.
