It is human nature to rationalize their crap purchases wit the good 'ol "just as good as". If you've ever taken pistol/carbine classes you've seen your fair share of "just as goods" failing constantly. Get over it.

So you ran an AK-47 through an advanced class?

BCA's are like Kimbers, Springfields, RIA, etc.
Sometimes you get a bad one, most of the time a good one. All you ever hear about is the bad ones.
I am lucky, all the brands mentioned have been good for me

Pardon me if this is supposed to be funny. I don't get it. No, I ran a Daniel Defense through all three of my classes. I have since switched to BCM.

Kinda like when you get a lemon vehicle. You swear off the brand and never buy another.

Lol. Don't buy a Yugo car made by Zastava, but you can buy a AK47 made by Zastava.

I bought a 410 bear creek upper because it was the only American made one and had a 3inch chamber (to use for hunting). I sent it back twice because both times it wouldn’t chamber, even when I manually put the round into the chamber. I was well aware of their reputation but it was so cheap lol.

they have since stopped selling it. It does work now, and I can get all 5 rounds fired out of it reliably. I actually managed to get a dove with it last year.

I agree. I've wanted a .17 HM2 upper for quite a while, bought a BCA when they first came out. No issues whatsoever for a round that notoriously has issues in semi-auto's.

Caveat re: myself, I'm no weekend warrior, Rambo wannabe...I do just take mine to the range and plink with it. Shooting for groups.

A co-worker has two. A 6.5 Creedmoor and something else (.450 Bushmaster maybe). He's a true hunter, lives in the sticks, hunts all the time. He thinks they're great, hasn't had any issues either. He's bought a couple for friends too.

I know this isn't related to the 7.62 original question, just sayin' they aren't all bad depending upon your needs.

I have a 22WMR upper since nobody else seems to make them. It has run fine so far.

I also have one. Once I replaced their light buffer with a much heavier one, it runs well. I’m using a buffer about 3 times heavier than the one they supplied. It’s been a very accurate rifle so far.

I have one of their 358 socom uppers, got it as a range toy mostly, and it has run flawlessly and is very accurate at 100 yds. I wouldn't buy BCA as my prized AR, but for niche purposes, why the hell not.

I also have the 17HMR upper. No issues other than I wish the barrel wasnt a heavy one.
I also have a BCA 308 upper I haven't even mounted on a lower yet but for a range toy that cost less than a nice steak dinner for two in Vegas I'm not worried about it.
