While you guys were talking to yourselves, I’m dealing with two people who are giving offers over 3k. You guys gotta understand this is a marketplace as well and some people might price things high and some low. Name of the game in any industry, if you don’t think it’s worth it that’s fine I’m not forcing you to buy it. But there’s always someone out there with money to blow, you’d be surprised! Now can someone tell me how to delete this post out of this wonderful hospitable thread?

FN 15 military collector M4
.556/.223
PRICE: $3500
Fully built by Cajun Gun Works, all Geissele internals including bolt and Super MCX SSA Geissele trigger. for sights it has a trijicon ACOG (paid just shy of $2k for it) extended bolt catch release, 5 mags 10/30, fixed mag in it now, vertical fore grip. Extra goodies worth a few hundred $ can ask in pm. OBO Make me an offer originally paid over $5k for everything
The OP of a thread can not be deleted because then the 2nd post would move to the top and that makes no sense as the 2nd post is always in response to the OP.Randall Rausch

What you gotta understand it that this is not 'the Marketplace' though, so your post is fair game to comments. What's understood is that this forum is 'General Gun Discussion' and in kind, people are discussing your gun, how you ruined it by 'customizing' it - and its inflated pricing.
And yet, good to see you are getting offers regardless, so eventually you can mark your original post as 'SOLD' and the replies will stop.
Because you sold it. For over $3k as stated.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?👍 2Comment

I am sorry you're having a negative experience. You posted in the wrong section. You posted in the discussion section. People are not allowed to post critical comments about items for sale in the marketplace. They really should not be doing so in the discussion forum as well. But the moderators have been MIA from Calguns for a while now. Posting in the wrong section happens all the time. New people make this mistake often, so do not feel bad. Why people who made this mistake themselves back in the day feel free to be so critical is beyond me.
Given the price of the optic combined with the price of the rifle your price is fair if like new. I think people have no idea what ACOGs go for these days, because the last time they looked at them they cost about half the price they do now. Why ACOGs have increased in price when their popularity has diminished is another discussion. You also added some expensive aftermarket options. That increases the price. Whether or not people want those upgrades on a military type "collectors edition" gun is another story. The primary market for this rifle is the cloner types. They tend to be purists. I too am guilty of adding modern parts and accessories to my clone rifles. But I do try to limit them to things you might actually see "in the wild". For example, the EoTech EXPS 3.0 and Surefire X300V are not technically the clone correct options for my Colt MK18. However, there are agencies and units out there that eventually ran those exact options on their issued MK18 Mod 0s. So it's only a little "incorrect". Or at least that is what I tell myself. The reality is, the truly clone correct options were really heavy, bulky and hard to use. So I upgraded them to things that worked better.
FYI this is the marketplace you meant to post in: Private Firearms Sales - Long Guns - Calguns.netLast edited by tacticalcity; 06-05-2025, 5:20 PM.Comment
