Just added another weapon to the herd. Atlantic is selling Portuguese licensed HK G3 kit on PTR barrel and receiver. It was all G3 surplus, except the PTR barrel, trunnion, and receiver. Even has the SEF metal grip frame. Bolt carrier is original full auto style, but the trigger pack, of course, has been modified to semi. The fit and finish are great, and we checked the rear and front sights with a laser bore sighter, and the are perfectly centered. It seems to be one that Century got right.
Can't wait to get it out of 10 day jail. I still have all my Freedom Week G3 mags in a Rhodesian Fereday chest rig for the PTR I had back then. I also had a set of CETME wood furniture from a C model I had 20 years ago. Took just a bit if fitting on the stocks buffer's front plate. Everyone is out of the HK G3 bayonet sockets for the cocking tube, and dang G3 bayonets are $125 for the short blade. I still had my C model CETME 1969 model with the 9" blade, and the CETME style bayonet adapter that fits the HK G3 cocking tube. Saved over $150. The HK G3 9 inch bayonets are more expensive than the short 7" and are about $600. I got a 9" that I gave $29 for back in the day.
Pics to come.
