    Handguard for .223 SAIGA.

I am installing a bullet guide on my .223 SAIGA, other then that I want to keep it featureless for now - not moving FCG, and having a "fin" on my pistol grip on a CCS Saiga stock. What's the best handguard with mounting functionality without installing the "hand guard retaining lower bracket" one requirement - as light as possible, is magpul Zhukov still the only game in town? Thank you.

Short and sweet — Magpul Zhukov is still the easiest drop-in if you don’t want to touch the FCG or install a lower retainer.
If you want lighter or real M-LOK mounting, look at slim aluminum AK handguards (RS Regulate, Midwest Industries, etc.), but most of those often require a lower bracket or some fitting — so verify “Saiga .223 drop-in without lower bracket” before you buy.
If zero surprises is the goal, go Zhukov (or the lighter Zhukov-style variants). zz0.u9emrq818ikzz
