Beretta Storm Carbine in CA?

A coworker mentioned a yen for a Beretta PX4 Storm carbine. I was wondering... would it be legal with a bullet button somehow?

Short barrel and thumbhole stock. Obviously, the thumbhole stock is easiest to overcome.

Short barrel (1/4" to 1/2") - I've read some guys add a recoil buffer (welded) or add barrel bushing... But I'm just giving you info that I've read... Wish I had one, but dang they have gone UP in price... So much that I kinda lost my desire to own one....

Didn't think the 16" barrel was an issue... But I he heard of some going with the fake suppressor to get past OAL

As fat as I know the barrel is fine as long as you cover the overall length issue with spacers. On mine I filled the thumbhole stock since there were no mag lock devices at the time.
