    PSA .308 on sale $680

This is the easiest way for kalis to buy one, PSA is selling the parts kit and stripped lower separately.

    Parts set $580:

    Stripped lower $100:

This is their Gen 3. The older gens had gassing issues. They now come with an adjustable gas block.

It's probably about the cheapest .308 AR you can find.

That is cheap. Wow. I believe you can't use the PSA upper with a Aero lower.

I don't know. PSA makes good lowers though, so I wasn't worried about using a PSA lower when I bought this setup years ago. There are so many improvements in the upper, that I ordered a new one.

Just ordered the lower. Might keep for the Jackal 308 or maybe build it into a 6.5 cm or 308 gun. Maybe black Friday sales I'll build it.

Is a large frame JAKL an actual rumor, or are you just hoping?

They've pretty much confirmed it. It got the second most votes behind their MP7 clone that shoots 5.7. They've slated a Jackal 308 for this year. I'm kinda hoping they do a 6.5cm, but we will see. Would be nice to have something different.

The small frame JAKL is what, 1100-1200 bucks? The large frame has to be at least 1500, maybe as much as 1700 or 1800.

I already have a number of autoloading .308's. It's probably been about 25 years since I shot one. I've also had 4000 to 5000 rounds of 7.62 ammo stolen since then. The wallet says it would be an imprudent purchase.

If they sell the upper for 1000, I'll buy it just to have something different. Though I might go for a 6.5cm over a 308

I think the small frame upper is more than that.

                  I'm not getting a semi-auto 6.5, the ammo is like $1.20 a round.

But more than that I'm not sure whether they charge shipping, then you're in it for about 9% tax, and then you're having to have your lower sent to an FFL that can charge you whatever they want in FFL fees. So by the time you're done you're probably in this thing for $900. You could easily go on cal guns and find a nice AR-10 for around that price and just do a nice face-to-face transfer with somebody and not have to put your gun together as well.
Many AR10 receivers are proprietary to some degree and even if they are DPMS pattern there's not guarantee that receivers from different manufacturers will fit together. There's no standard "mil spec" for large frames.

308 off the shelf is about the same price as well.

I got 6.5 for about 80cpr a while back and have been adding slowly with deals. At some point, reloading comes into play.

But we'll see, either way, ar10 in 6.5 or their jakal in 6.5 should it come at some point.

For the above post about PSA AR kits, under $800 is do-able. Which is pretty wild.
