Well, after waiting for a re-stocking surge of copper 7.62 x39 to hit the shelves so I can get a good supply for Burro, I get this response from Wolf in regards to the shortage...

"We no longer offer our 7.62x39 in copper only bi-metal now.

I saw a forest service notice that said possession of steel core ammunition within the ANF is prohibited. I don't know what the penalty is that is associated with this regulation. Steel jacketed ammo is ok.

If true, this is very bad news for anyone who shoots at Angeles. No magnetic, no bi-metal, no steel, etc.
