    scope for mini 14

    do leoupold scopes work with the ruger mini 14? If not any suggestions on a good scope that will?

    tell us more about a) how you intend to use the rifle, and b) what your scope budget is.

    i have to ask: what makes you think a leupold scope wouldn't work with a mini-14?

      Yes they will and are excellent scopes.
      A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

            When I researched, I found a rather popular choice was a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40 with BDC recticle so went with that...




            And yes, you can remove the bolt for cleaning with the scope installed.
            Need to take the bolt lock off though. No biggie. Easy once you've done it once.
