Flip to Side Magnifier Mounts: Right or Left?

Okay, so is there any particular reason that people set the magnifier up to flip to the right vs the left? I'm guessing it's because for most people - right handed people - when it's flipped to the right, it's out of your face. So, for a left handed person, flipping to the left would make sense, right?

Some people also go left to avoid the ejection port.

Correct. You don't want it blocking your field of view forward.
