AR-10 sight question

I just got a N6 with a 21in barrel and right now it has a leupold mark 4 10x40 LR/T on top..

That's the sight to be exact, my question is if I plan on shooting from 200-800 yards will this be good or would something like a trijicon acog for .308 be better?
Might be doing hunting so idk if weight would be any different..

That's a nice and very sturdy scope, I had one. With a 10x shooting out to 800, as long as you have good eye sights, it'll work just fine. There are people that can shoot 800 with a 10x.

200-800 yards... you'll be better with a 10x traditional scope. ACOGs great for rapid target-target shooting during combat... but for pure accuracy, go with a scope. Especially if using for hunting... IMHO.

Your 10x is perfect. Good luck seeing 600-800 yards with a 4x or 6x ACOG. If you can see far targets through low power scopes, you have MUCH better eyesight than I do.
