Difference between Bushnell XLP & regular holosight?

Does anyone have a prefrence between the Bushnell XLP(53-0021) and the regular Bushnell holosight(51-0021)??

I don't know yet, but I just ordered a new XLP and should have it this week. From everything I have read, it is not as tough as anything offered by Eotech, and people putting it on big rifles and handguns have seen malfunctions. I plan on putting it on a .22 pistol so I think I should be alright. The standard Bushnell holosight takes AA vs. AAA, and has obvious styling changes.

I wouldn't put the XLP on an AR-15, as you wouldn't be able to co-witness with your existing iron sights due to the reticle being so low to the bore. The standard Eotechs are the proper height for this.

I plan on using it on my Beretta Neos Inox that I got for Christmas. The XLP was the only red dot sight that I think wouldn't look terrible on the Neos. The low reticle to bore will be good in this application.

It might be too big, and it might not work well....but it'll look very "sci-fi channel" when it is done. I'll post back once I have it.
