Good decent priced Reflex Sight for AR15?

I just finished my AR-15 build and I'm looking for a reflex scope. Of course my heart craves an EOTech or Aimpoint, but I cannot spend $500 on a sight. My AR will be mostly used for range and plinking time, but if the zombies come it could become a SHTF AR! Please help me out ladies and gentlemen. My max price is around $150-$200. Thanks! Pictures of the AR on the way once I get home.

I wouldn't really spend $200 on a shabby sight. I would wait until you can afford an Eotech. You are dealing with quality items.

I mean if you just need something temporary I would say go with like an NC star or something.

If you just want to get something in the $200 range and thats it then I would say possibly the Vortex SPARC. I have heard pretty good things about them.

And optics planet normally has coupons so you can look around to save you and extra 5 or 10% off.

Thanks for the response jm! I know I should just save up for an EOTech but man I'd rather buy another glock instead. I have a cheap Truglo optic just like that one. It's a decent sight but it forces me to close an eye while shooting and that's what I'm trying to avoid.

150 can get you a good bushnell and its not shabby like an NCstar.

I have the Vortex Sparc, I like it just as much as my buddies T-1. And it's a Vortex product, you won't be disappointed for $200.00

Cheap optics are cheap. Save your money, become proficient with iron sights and when you can afford a real optic get it. Aimpoint PRO's can be had for just under $400 shipped now a days, and that thing will last you a lifetime. Chinese optics will eventually **** the bed and you will just have to buy another one, so where is the money savings?

            Buy once, cry once.

Yeah I've ditched the Truglo sight and I'm just using my MOE flip up sights for right now. I didn't want to break the bank but it seems as if that's my only option.

Another option is to buy used.

I picked up a used micro H1 a few years back when they made the transition from a shiny housing to a matte finish like the T1's...a guy from M4c.net sold it for $250. Then I found a used DD mount for $40, and I was into a great setup for less than $300...

My second round I bought a used comp M4 for $390, and larue mount for $110, another great (perfect, IMO) setup for 2/3rds the price new from larue.

I realize those deals are few and far between, but they're out there. Keep checking the marketplace here.

I'm sure this can't be that far out of your budget. There are other places that even have them $10 or $15 cheaper.

Aimpoint PRO. $400 (sometimes $380) including a mount.

I pissed at eotech so I can't recommend their products. They had/have poorly designed electronics housings

You can find Eotech Model 512s for much less than $500. I paid $365 for mine on eBay, and a local dealer (Rocklin area) was selling them for under $400. This is a good sight: it takes AA batteries. It's not as compact as later models, and it lacks night vision settings, but I suspect that this is not an issue for most of us.

Vortex Sparc, Bushnell TRS-25, and Primary Arms Micro Dot all have good reviews and are a good value for the asking price. No, they are not war-quality optics, but they hold zero and are good enough for plinking and weekend fun.
