    Chipley Arms Tikka 6.5x47 @ 300yrds

Jason from Chipley Arms wanted me to shoot some 300 yard groups for him. I had about 20 left over rounds from my last outing, so I decided to stop by the range and shoot some 300 yard groups. The wind was blowing between 10 and 15mph and the mirage was pretty harsh. Any how I was last shooting at a grand so I dialed dope for 300 and was pretty much on. Time was limited so I didn't bother trying to dial in the bull and just shot three 5 shot groups. All groups were 1/2 MOA or better, these are the last two. One thing happened that has never happened before, I had loaded a round and forgot, I pulled back the bolt to load a round and the round that was in the chamber came apart. I loaded these rounds with a 5thou jam into the lands, and when I pulled back the bold the case retracted but the projectile stayed chambered, gun powder was all over the place. I had to push the round back with a rod, good thing I had one with me. Live and learn.

Your bottom group looks close to this group I shot with my C.A. 6.5x47....I was pissed at myself when I pulled the 4th shot. I was watching the group and the pressure got to much!

What do you hear ???...... Nothing but the rain. Well grab your gun and bring in the cat.
