I have one scoped SPR, mainly because I'm in the urban jungle. Thinking that if, it all hit the fan, terrain features also work against me, setting up a rig to hit something 800 yards away, when you can't see ANYTHING more 300 yards away, makes little sense.

I'm currently running a Leupold Mark AR on that setup. Decent glass, affordable, and 1x4x will git 'r' done around here. Would NOT be averse to an Accupoint, or even better glass, if I lived somewhere where I could open 'er up.

    YMMV.

I've got an old Leupold 3-9x40 Vari-X IIc on top of an A2 carry handle on my first AR (16" chrome-lined heavy barrel) and a Bushnell 3200 5-15x w/ target turrets on my inexpensive distance shooter (24" bull barrel). A third .223 AR (16" stainless heavy) only has a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot w/ no magnification, but I'm considering swapping the Leupold off the carry handle. I'm pretty used to using that 9x for target ID and impact viewing though so I might buy yet another scope for this third AR -- thinking the Nikon on sale at MidwayUSA unless I can find another Leupold for a good price.

Savage model 12: Old Redfield Illuminator 6x20. one squirrel exploding SOB.

            AR15 setup like a mark 12: Nikon M223 3x12.

            Ar15 with a 14.5" barrel: Trijicon ACOG 4x32.

            AR15 with a 14.5" barrel: Eotech 516

I really like the M223 and the ACOG, no problem varmint hunting with the M223 for that type of stuff, and for more of a tactical style scope, it's pretty tough to beat an ACOG. From CQ to 600+ yards, the ACOG pretty much does it all.

After looking at many, I went with the QR-TS and I am very happy with it.

Try to have all your scopes use the same system. For example, I prefer mil / mil with FFP, so everything has that. Your preference may lead you to the right scope.

                            It shoots well!

Quick trip to get it on paper and run a few mags. Scope has decent glass and works well. I need to spend some time fine tuning it now.

Had a couple of light strikes and 3 times the round failed to feed causing a jam that was easily cleared.

That's a pretty good deal. I have a M223 2-8X32 with the M223 mount sitting in the closet for now. I was going to put it on a Savage .223 bolt gun, but ended up putting a Leupold Rifleman 3-9 X 40 on it instead. It's Leupold's cheapest scope (made in china) but still pretty good optics.

I have a Trijicon TR 22 and a TR 21 for the AR's. Both are in LaRue Tactical mounts.
