Is this legal on a rifle?

Is this legal on a rifle in Cali? (I'm thinking "no" based on the laws, but I'm not sure.)

EDIT: Is it legal on a Saiga 308 (http://www.raacfirearms.com/Saiga_308.htm) in Cali?

By the way, that's a pic I found on the Internet. That's not my gun.

Yes it's legal. In various ways, 22 rimfires, bolt action rifles, fixed magazine centerfire rifles etc.

But it does make an assault weapon out of a detachable magazine centerfire rifle with no other evil features.

That's a flash hider, so it would not be legal on a semiautomatic centerfire rifle that accepts detachable magazines.

        If it's a fixed 10 round...yes
But if it's a detachable Magazine then no

That's a flash hider not a recoil compensator
The difference is in the size of the hole....
If it's bigger then the round coming out then it's a Flash hider

So, it's NOT legal on a Saiga 308 (http://www.raacfirearms.com/Saiga_308.htm), correct?

            Correct.

Such a flash hider device should not be mounted on a standard semiauto centerfire rifle like the off-list Saiga, a Mini14, an M1A, etc.
