for your first AR, why a .05 Beowulf? My friend has one as a first AR and he doesn't even shoot it because of the cost of ammo and the lack of availability. Stick with a .223/.556 and learn how to use that. The .50 Beowulf effective range is not as good as a .223/.556. and if you want to punch ALOT of holes, the cost of .223 ammo is cheaper.Rock Island Armory 1911 9mm Tactical | Fusion Com Pro-S CF Trigger group | DP Fiber Optic Front Sight | Strike Industries Golf Ball Semi Gloss Grips |
Springfield 1911 TRP Operator | Strike Industries Sunrise Pistol Grip
AR15 | LMT 14.5" | CMMG lower | VLTOR CAS-V | ARMS #71 Rear BUIS | Pinned BC 1.5 | Burris PEPR QD Mount | Redfield 2-7x33 scope |

Wow!, you've got way too many questions for answers.I need help with a Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf build.I want it for punching holes in paper. I have never taken an AR apart but i'm up for the challenge.Should i order their Mid-Length MK3 Monolithic Quad-Railed Upper upgrade ($415 more) or stick with the Midwest Industries free-float, four-rail hand guard that it comes with. What brand lower should i buy and should i buy it complete or stripped. What trigger, Sights,Buffer etc.Help me out on the complete build all input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Please buy and watch both of these DVDs before you spend another penny!
Watch both of those videos 10 times each and then go to Midway or Brownells and get the right punches, roll pin holding punches, push pin punches, jigs, etc., to build what you really want.
As far a the lower, don't stray too far off the beaten path, get one of the popular "Mil-Spec" lowers like Daniel Defense, Spikes, Noveske, DPMS (not my favorite), etc. Do your research and this will be gravy and darn fun too.
All of the videos needed to build most ARs are posted free on Brownells website. If you really need help PM me. I've built an AR or two.
N-frame-itis, there is no cure!
AR-itis is just as bad!Comment
