What fees am I looking at when buying a rifle of gunbroker?

Im looking at getting a sub 2000, so i know im going to at least need the following:

    Bullet button: $40
    Transfer: $35
    Shipping: $30ish

and what other fees should i get ready to pay for? Im going to ballpark the gun at roughly $500.

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟

Don't forget sales tax if it's a new gun.

      $35 transfer fee for a non-PPT?

      That's really good for a non-PPT.

Since, legally the FFL dealer can charge any amount to do a non-PPT.

Cheapest I've done is $60. Been quoted from $60-$250 by various CA FFL dealers in SoCal.

          Let me clarify...

If it's out of their inventory or a PPT, total transfer fee should be $35. Because this amount is set/limited by CA laws.

If it's shipped to them, then you can be charged any amount. Usually it's in the $50-250 range. This is because the amount is not set/limited by CA laws.

In addition, any firearm purchased out-of-state is subject to a "use tax". Which the CA FFL dealer will collect, if they don't then you have to pay it when you do your state income tax.

In my experience, one of your local gun stores can most likely get it for you cheaper than you could after fees from gunbroker. Call around first, then head to online distributors
