Was this a good decision?

Hi guys,

After careful deliberation, (at least I hope so!) I pulled the plug for one of DD's Saiga's. I have been looking for a good, reliable, SHTF-type rifle (just in case) but also something I can enjoy shooting as well.
I got the Saiga 7.62x39 with the 16" barrel. It was priced really well, and even though I won't renege on the buy, I hope to get some positive feedback here! I am convinced that the AK-type gun is the most reliable for going 'bang' when I want it to, and even fairly accurate out to 100m or so. That's why I chose the Saiga, being the same design, same manufacturer, etc.

So, please let me have it... did I do good or no?

P.S. For those who may still have other input, I AM planning on getting an AR-type OLL, and building one up myself! The 5.56/6.8mm gun is my next on the to-do list, so please keep that in mind!

Don't do it. Buy an AK clone instead.
