You would still need a limiter block so you would not be able to load more than ten. Also having the pmag in that 30 round configuration is a no no.

Give the fifth sticky from the top of this forum a good read. It'll help you out well.

But officer I only loaded it to 10!!!

Now if you meant that you legally owened a regular "hicap" magazine and you rebuilt it with a pmag and then you are going to use it in your legally configured featureless rifle and didn't want to attract attention at the range. Sure only load 10 bullets if that's what you want to do.

But I am assuming you mean using a 30rd magazine loaded to 10 in a magazine locked rifle = no go

anyway , so bottom line , even there's 30round magazine , i can't use that if i only fill that magazine 10 rounds ? so need and have to use low magazine that only contain 10 rounds , right ?

i thought there is a standard 30rd magazine that can only be fill with 10rd magazine , ....

In a magazine locked semi automatic centerfire rifle in California you can only use a magazine that has the capacity to contain 10 rounds or less otherwise you have an "assault weapon" and have committed a felony!

There are "10/30" magazines that look like 30 rounders but have been blocked to only hold 10 rounds.

Better question is how did you come to posses this magazine in California?

You realize if you brought the magazine in from another state assembled or if in state you assembled the magazine from a parts kit that you committed a crime right?

short answer is NO to the 30 round Pmag....if it is assembled please disassemble it before you get caught (felony, right?)
As stated above 10/30 are out there and 10round mags are too, unfortunately they do cost more.

                            It's perfectly fine in Nevada.
