    Questions on california

So if California decide to list the oll as AW would that mean that everyone would have to register it right?

Also can later on they decide to make all AW illegal and make all californians turn it in? Would they just visit everyone with a lower and take it away? Would firearms cost be reimbused (doubt it since california is broke)

I'll be moving to arizona if that happens.

The California Legislature and the Governor would have to change the law to make this happen.

The AG no longer can just list firearms. It would have to be new legislation. New legislation could take any form. Stick around here so you are aware of what is going on and you can help fight it.

Then the 50K plus OLLs already in state would have to be grandfathered in. Thus registered and BB and prince 50s can be removed. Any non built OLLs could be registered and built to your liking too. Yes?

This seems to me why they have not done it yet.

Thanks for the response. Just curious when I should plan on moving guess it won't be a complete surprise when it happens.

with new legislation, this might not happen. With new legislation they could create different categories of assault weapons and force you to register lowers without evil features and eliminate fixed magazine builds. In theory they could ban them out right and call for confiscation.

With AB2728, a new AWB could be pretty nasty, so we must fight any new legislation tooth and nail. The good news is as far as everyone knows the anti-gunners solved this problem and trying to fix it now would be an admition of failure. Honestly, leaving us and our neutered rifles alone is the smartest move they could make. Relying on a new federal ban that corrects what went wrong in CA would make more sense.

The legislature could force registration in current configuration, but they can not confiscate 'em Wes. They could try but there is no court in the land that would allow that absent people being compensated with $$$.

However, this is a bit moot. Heller is going to significantly change the playing field both legislative and judicially and the likelihood is much more our way that these arms will end up being less restricted.
