Geissele Super Dynamic: Enhanced vs 3-Gun

I had the chance to try out the Geissele Super Dynamic "Enhanced" trigger today and it blew my socks off, truly amazing. I'm now set on purchasing a Super Dynamic series trigger, I'm not interested in the "Combat" version but the "3G" version does sound somewhat appealing as well.

I was unable to try the Super Dynamic "3-Gun" and most likely will not be able to prior to making a purchase decision...

Can anyone who has had the chance to use both(preferably not only read about both) give me some insight as to why you chose on or the other?

Looking forward to reading the responses.

3G feels weird like a trigger made of ball bearings? Hard to explain. It's for people shooting three gun so I guess that trigger is a little easier to rapid fire with or something.

I prefer solid 2 stage triggers for scoped AR's so I went with the SSA-E.

Get a ssa-e unless you do 3gun or rapid fire a lot. I was thinking about it but just decide to keep it simple. Good luck with your choice.

SD3G is for fast resets so it's got a shorter throw. it's not for precison work so to speak although you can use it for target as long as ya take your time and don't expect it to be like a 2 stage. I love mine.http://geissele.com/pdfs/TriggerSummarySheet.pdf

I have both and it's pretty much like everyone else has said so far. I have the SSA-E on my plinking rifle. It has a nice light crisp break with two clearly defined stages. On the SSA-3G that is on my 3 gun rifle the first stage is nearly non-existent and it has a super short reset. This makes it extremely easy for quick controlled pairs into paper targets.

I love them both for different applications.

Id try to explain what the 3G feels like but you just have to feel it for yourself. Its one of the most unique feeling triggers I've ever used, just one fast fluid short pull. It was surprisingly different it put a smile on my face first time using it.

I like both of them a lot, your decision should come down to application.

In the spirit of being awesome, get 2 lowers and buy both triggers. I couldn't pick just one, they are so different they compliment each other depending on the type of shooting you are doing.

Best I heard it described is its like the first stage of an SD series (although heavier @3-1/2#) that "just lets go." No 1st to 2nd stage stop then break.

Smooth as ball bearings on silk and the break will surprise you sometimes. Smooth, short pull then it "drops off" and suddenly breaks.
