Featureless ARs, AR pistols, mags oh my...

I'm gonna be having a birthday party at a local range. I don't go to the range all that often, in all honesty I haven't been to the range in over 8 years. Then I found calguns.

I've since built a featureless AR and bought an off list AR pistol. My reason? I wanted to while there was a legal chance. I've also had 30rd mags since '98.

So, my question... when you go to the range, even though everything you have is 100% legal, would you only use 10rd mags in your featureless builds or go full tilt boogie with 30rders? Do you bring your mag locked AR pistols with 10rd mags? Have you had any issues bringing AR pistols to the range?

I'm more of a firearm recluse, I don't like to bring my stuff out cuz I don't like ppl knowing what I have, and some leos or other patrons aren't fully educated on the law and I don't want to deal with that (probably why I haven't been to the range in so long).

Anyway, just curious of your opinion and experiences. I'll be going to the Manteca range, so if you have info on that specific range, that would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

I believe all mags have to be restricted to 10 rounds in CA with the exception of tubular .22 [mags?] in lever actions.

Id look up it on the department of justice website tho.

your belief is sadly mistaken. please read this thread http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=387409 before posting any further on the subject

OP, I can not give an opinion from experience, but I will give an opinion from my own desire for personal experience .

If you have the mags, and the gun to use them in... do it (all legally of course).

        Incorrect.

Use your legally owed large-cap mags in your featureless rifles. That's the big bonus for running a featureless rifle after all, right?

Negative ghostrider, you are not clear for FUD-by.

You can use 30 rounders if owned before the ban in a featureless rifle.

I too have some legal 30 and 20 rounders for my AR's and my mini 30. I leave them at home to avoid any problems. I function tested them long ago so no need to call attention to myself now. If zombies are climbing through the windows, then yes I'll use them otherwise....

That's kinda the idea. I don't like drawing attention.

Ive got a nice variety of "high caps" and dont ever worry about using em. Only reason I dont always bring em is 1) I dont always bring a featureless and 2) sometimes I only shoot for groups and practice fundamentals and only shoot 5 round strings

Telling people not to use a legally obtained item in a legal form is FUD
