    Thanks Darin,

So far I have not had any issues with my BB.

Very nice to see you being proactive (as always) to address anyone's concerns/issues.

Will you be offering an upgrade or parts replacement kit when you have the new parts mfg'd?

As always, thank you for stepping up, investing your time and $$money in manufacturing / upgrading a part that has enabled many of us to own some of our firearms in a compliant configuration.

    Regards,
    Chris

I am going to start anodizing the center nut both for looks and to make the part harder. I will hard anodize the inner barrel, and that should help greatly in reducing wear from the intial installation.

Let me know if I can be of assistance.

    Thanks,

      That's great to hear Prince50!

Found this on another thread, maybe something similar like below can be added to future kits or maybe vendors can offer it along with the kits?

My lower is together now and the BB is what took the longest, had to file it down a lot to get it to even start. It was pretty straight forward installation.

My BB took about 5 mins. I used a dremmel wheel to take a tad off the lip.

Okay, I got everything sorted out. The BB is working fine, although I do think I took a little too much off of the burrs. The aluminum nut held up fine on mine, but on my buddy's build the aluminum nut was kinda crappy which deformed quite easily during the install; however, it all worked out.

In the end, the BB is WAY EASY to install. Can't believe I worried about it so much!

I cant understand why people have issues with installing it either. I think some get nervous about making any alterations to the BB itself... and freak out about messing something up if they do

I have installed dozens of BBs and have never had a problem with the nut. I sometimes have to file down the housing, but that is easy. So I don't understand why people are having problem with their nuts.

That bit that is posted in that picture would be awesome. Can anyone figure out where that came from?

The spanner is from Mcmaster Carr according to the post. I just buy screw drivers at the dollar store, and file or grind them to the shapes I need, then sand/polish the burs off so I don't tear up the parts I'm working on. When doing my BB's I like to file them down to the point where they fit snug, but without having to drive them in. Then I put a drop of locktite on the bottom of the housing to hold it down. (don't let it get on the other parts) That way I can just tap it a little to break the locktite loose should I want to put another release in.

You can get this set with four bits that looks like that for $7.99 at Harbor Freight.

                        I don't think it's necessary.
