    HK94 builders

I'm looking for a HK94/MP5 clone builder. I've seen one on HKPRO.net who seems solid, but wanted any input from others that might be out there. Anyone have info? thanks

Ghillibear on hkpro, I spoke to him last week, he also recommended some Cali builders, he has his phone number on the HK sight in some of the post, I'd use him or one of his recommendations. One guy in Cali he recommended was Carlos? cant remember where he worked though.

I wish I would have had him build my 93 clone instead of going with a Vector.

Chopstix kid owner of Dakota Tactical does really good work. I have not done business with ghilliebear yet. The last time I sent him email about an mp5sd clone build he did not respond. Maybe he was busy. I also have done business with Turner Fabrications. You can see their work at Atlantic Firearms.

Atlantic said they were gonna bring in a CA legal one a while back. Possible a Turner or Belator. I've been wanting to get on maybe if we start Emailing request to him he will make some up.

Carlos is Belt Fed Precision Products. They are in SoCal.

          There are lots of builders:
          Michaels Machines
          Dakota Tactical
          Ghilliebear
          TSC Machine
          RDTS
          BFPP (Carlos)
          Investment Grade Firearms
          Big50
Forget the name, but there is a cross dressing builder thats paints her/his guns purple
The guy that used to be TB's welder
and more and more and more of them.

It boils down to: How much money do you want to spend? Do you have the parts already? Are you going to be picky about the parts? Are you going to be picky about the build? Are you going to shoot it wall hang it? etc etc.

Why have one built though? There are several ready to go off the shelf models to fit just about anybody's needs and wants.

I have worked with Chopsticks kid, but after a YEAR of waiting I gave up with him. Gillebear has a great rep on HKPRO. I don't see the need to keep the work in CA since once you're mailing it anyway who care where it's going. But do ask about the turn around time. Some of these guys have long waiting periods.

The best HK builders have always had people lined up for their work to the point of very long wait times. It is what it is.

Chopstix Kid has a queue of over 150 guns and is way behind. He builds each gun himself and currently has no other staff. I purchased one of his MP5 pistols last year from Adam Webber of hkparts.net. Adam will separate the registered receiver from the lower, but the pistol has to be SSE through a 07 FFL, who has to install the raddlock.

Due to the overwhelming success of the product line, wait times are fairly extensive at the moment. It appears to have become a poking point for some as I find myself taking jabs on various other forums, but I guess that's the price I pay for doing it right :) Average wait times (will update...

                    Good luck!
