    My new Bullet Button tool

Trying to stay legit so no magnets and no mods to BB.

Received this yesterday from Rifle Gear. Very cool works great and the elastic strap keeps it in place (on me not the gun), Cost $5.99 and ordered it with 5 p-mags from them. Great service by the way. UPS ground shipping is one day from So Cal.

Is it just me, or do I simply not have trouble using a spare cartridge to drop the mag?

Seems like a lot of companies want to sell something that is truly redundant, when you have a bench full of ammo waiting to be used. Even shooting squirrels, I have zero fumbles or lost "BB tools" when the ammo is right....there.

The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

Yeah but when those squirrels mount an offensive and you're on the run wouldn't it be nice to have a BB tool around your wrist?

Yeah I know, besides you don't need to remove the mag if you don't have ammo.

Also, assuming we're talking about ARs here, it takes all of 30 sec to replace the BB with a std. mag button.

However, if you do have a range with a tactical cqb course where you can use your rifle, I could see the advantage of having one of these. But if your only hunting or shooting of a bench, I don't really see the point.

When I had my bullet button build, I made my own version of the UBBT before they became commercialized. That seemed to be the best option.

If you are shooting you should have one if not both of these.

This tool looks cool but why would you like that more than the UBBT? http://ubbt.net/10-round-damph-alumi...-10556223.html

I just ordered four 10/20 PMAGs with the UBBT installed, seems like a more logical way to go than a loose tool that I will inevitably lose or misplace. And yep, there is always those few hundred rounds of .223 sitting next to me that I can use ;-)

                        E x a c t l y . . . those squirrels can at times be very squirrelly!!

When I bought it I was thinking more for "out-n-about" type scenerios where I would want 2 hands on the gun and not have to fumble for a round or pocket tool. On the bench at the range a round probably would be just as good.

I was thinking about a ring (the kind you wear on your finger) with a tool on the inside (palm side).

This would be legal would it not?

I saw those too Dan. Very cool idea as well. I may have to try one of those as well.

Riflegear had these as well but not sure about how useful. Might spend the $1.49 on the next order to try.
