Quick question about Shotguns in Cali..

Just wanting to know what the OAL must be in the State of Cali to be legal? Thinking about going with a pistiol-grip only on shotgun but want to make sure OAL is legal

    thanks

Does action type come in to the OAL equation at all (auto vs. pump)?

      Thx...

        No. Not in shotguns.

Keep your regular stock. You'll find that, although a PG only shotgun may look good for movies, they are not practical for most applications.

            I agree...

Have you looked into pistol grip with buttstock for your shotgun. I have a fixed buttstock with pistol grip on my Mossberg 500; looks great, feels sturdy, and there's no issue with OAL or recoil.

I actually have a ATI M4 Collapsible Stock on it with a Pistol Grip currently. Very comfortable to shoot. And yes, I was going for the pistol-grip only because of the cool factor

The Knoxx Stock is the awesome. Watched a college kid, coudn't have weighed more than a buck'n a nickel, shoot slugs from his 590 like he was popping .410's. Impressed the hell outta me.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

                    Whhhhhaaaat? I call BS.

That's prob because the dude up on charges has an idiot lawyer.

18.5"-bbl'd Mossberg 500 Cruisers are sold at tons of Big5s. They're all over the place and commonly known as legal.

                    They're a wonderful under-the-truck-seat gun.

The "I've heard of..." junk: Is this something you saw on the web or can you cite an actual case??
