Which 7.62x39?

I have been out of the 7.62x39 market for about 15 years. Just picked up an SKS and was wondering is there is any ammo better than the other offerings. Ammoman has Golden Tiger fmj, Wolf Military Classic (fmj and hp) and black box Wolf (fmj and hp). Is it all the same or is one better than the other?

As far as 7.62x39 goes, there isn't much of a difference between FMJ and HP, the SP may expand somewhat though. It's all reliable, so go for whatever is cheapest.

Can you shoot steel core at the place you go shooting?

Ordered the Golden Tiger from Ammoman. I sold all my Chinese steel core 15 years ago when I sold my Russian sks.
