OLL Assembly Guide

I've seen several requests and even received a few email from the Contact Us button asking about how to assemble a lower receiver.

I know other sites have them but it might be useful to have an assembly guide here given that this tends to be the focal point of OLLs.

If anyone has one to post or can write one up I can sticky it or host it.


I may have missed it if this has been done, if I have point it out and I'll delete this testament to my ignorance.

I just used the one on the AR-15 site but it would be a good idea to have one on this site. Maybe with some tips on installing magazine locks.

Now an assembly guide with special focus on the various mag locks, BBs and P50s would be very cool!

Would it be a copyright infringement to just copy/paste the instructions from the AR-15 site over here, and then maybe just add the BB/P50 stuff to our version of it??

The OLL pictures posted by senior member Creampuff are excellent and have great explanations to help in assembling an AR lower.

Yeah i could use some info on installing a BB, i am going to wait until after christmas to put my lower together though.

I was thinking the same since I'm receiving my stripped Noveske lower next week since I did not find any of Calguns own "How to assmeble a stripped OLL". I bought a BB and Prince 50. I have a good camera with a 105mm macro lens...

I never assembled an OLL so this will be a good noob guide with basic tools. I have a complete rifle to go off of and machanically inclined.

Think it will be okay to post this on the Riflemans forum and making it a sticky possibly?

If you can take pictures and we can get a step by step write up on assembly I'll either sticky it as a thread or host it as a stand alone web page linked to this forum.

Sounds good Kestryll! I'll PM you a rough draft with pics before we post it. I'm getting most if not all the pieces/parts this week including stripped lower Thursday night.

Please do this I'm waiting for all my recently ordered parts to get here and I'm going to need to see how to do it.
