Looking for FDE/Bronze AR lower and upper

    Hello,

I really miss my old AR and regret selling. But now I get the chance to build another and its time start purchasing parts for it.

I want to build a really tricked out AR that matches my all time favorite pistol, my sig p220 combat.

The sig p220 combat finish is labeled as FDE but has a nice anodized bronze sheen color to it which is what I'm looking for. I can't stand the way duracoat looks on metal, its not so bad on polymer but that is not an option.

I'm looking for any manufacturers that make AR lowers/uppers in this finish. If not I might go the custom route and try a gunsmith that does anodizing/refinishing for the lower/receiver/rail. I have heard good things about US anodizing has anyone here had work performed by them?

You might want to look at legion firearms that offers a stripped upper and billet lower in a burnt bronze that might match that but it aint cheap.

You can also look at LWRC which has option to have whole rifle cerakoted in patriot brown which is a darker brown then FDE.

Another option is just buy upper and lower cerakote it in Burnt Bronze....Cerakote seems to be a much more durable option thatn duracote...

Would be interested to see anodizing costs and how it durable it is to cerakote.

        Nice looking Sig!

You may want to check with Sun Devil. Their website is a couple years out of date. They have more products and options than what is shown.

Sorry guys. I forgot about AIM's CA policies. I figured stripped lower would be ok...

Why don't they sell to CA? Lameness.

Oh NM just realized they are not CA DOJ approved.

                  duh
