Where does Colt sit in Tier standings and why?

Funny thing about this thread, I started to look into Colt and found a local dealer selling the LE6920-CMP-B for 1,190.00+tax and fees. Basically, you get a $60 break from retail but it'll all go back into fees and taxes.



Eddys Shooting Sports in Mt. View has about 14 in stock if anyone is interested. I may drop by during lunch to take a look; maybe put down 50% if it looks good.

Does Eddys have the basic 6920 and 6940 in stock?

Just got back and threw down my check for the LE6920CMP-B.
Eddy did have the BASIC 6920CA in stock.

Looking at the website re-direct, they are getting their firearms (when ordered) through:

Eddy's does have a small selection of handguns and rifles in the tiny store - it is 1/2 the size of Reeds in terms of what they have in stock so don't expect anything fancy here. It's a bit on the cluttered side.

Greg is a good guy and while he had to tack on a $11 shipping charge, he said, bring the receipt to the range and I will get to shoot without paying - basically paying for range time in advance. So my price of $1201+tax and $20 DROS, included a day at the range.

Keep us posted if you do get it.

I'd take Larue over a Colt any day of the week... actually I think i'd take quite a few others over a Colt anytime... Noveske, LWRC, LMT to name a few.

There is a place stocking 14 Colt firearms of the same model in one place? Gee, if only Colt put that much effort into stocking their god damn 1911's, I might just buy a few more. Good luck walking into any FFL in CA or even elsewhere and finding 14 Colt 1911's of the same model.

These threads remind me of arguing with my fellow 2nd graders as to which transformer was the best.It seems the premises for the conclusions are pretty similar also.I always sided with megatron, he was the coolest.

Colt is the answer. Thanks everyone. There was a torture test between a colt and DD somewhere in one of the forums. DD won in the mud and sand test, but its OK. I can change things on the rifle later like the grip, stock, and rails.
