    223 Wylde

My buddy just bought a sweet looking carbon fiber barrel that is chambered in 223 Wylde. What's the skinny on that round?
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

It's a hybrid chamber, between 5.56mm and .223 Remington. It'll shoot either safely. The idea is you want to safely be able to use 5.56 while still keeping a "tight" chamber for accuracy with the .223 Remington.

Many companies (Bushmaster, some RRA) use it as their standard chamber.

The 223 Wylde has slightly larger chamber body dimensions than a 5.56 nato and a proper throat diameter like a SAAMI 223 chamber.
It's literally the best of both worlds, reliable and accurate.

Here is my 223 & 5.56 chamber reamers comparison.
