    bull barrel

    hey guys, i have a ruger Mkii, m77, 7mm rem mag... i was looking to put a bull barrel on it... i;m having a hard time finding companies that produce that barrrel... any sugestions on where to look, or who to talk too... thank you...

    You'll need to take it to a gunsmith to have that done, unless you have a lathe, reamers, knowhow, etc. You get a barrel blank in the caliber you want and the gunsmith will thread it, chamber it, and headspace it on your rifle. He can put the finish of your choice on it as well.

          You can buy prechambered barrels threaded for the Ruger from almost any barrel maker. i.e. Shilen, PacNor, Lothar-Walther, Badger, Rock, Douglas, Krieger, A&B, Broughton, Lilja, etc.

          Most of these will come either short-chambered so you have to run a finish reamer into them after installation or they will come long-chambered where you have to turn the shoulder of the barrel down on a lathe to fit the barrel to your action.

          Your best bet is to find a gunsmith to do it.
