What's the deal with all the SU16s for sale?

Keltec has much better warrantee and customer sevice than Ruger. In fact, Ruger won't even sell a Mini14 firing pin to a gunsmith! Keltec will send you almost any part you need for free! Of course, now we are once again comparing apples to kangaroos but now we're adding garter belts to the mix.

Ruger's warranty and customer service are among the best in the industry, IMO, though there are people with horror stories with almost any brand.

They may not send you certain parts, but they'll definitely fix the gun for you. They fixed my 20+ year out of production Security Six, bought used, for free. The only models that will give you trouble are ones that they're out of parts for, but S&W has the same problem.

I bought my SU-16CA before I found out about OLL's. Even though I am considering building an AR, I won't sell the Kel-Tec. It's a fun little gun, points well, and is accurate too. I did have to replace the extractor and polish the bottom of the bolt carrier though to get it reliable. But now it goes bang every time. How long it will last, only time will tell.

I like the fact that the stock folds for easy storage. And I think it would be a fine home defense gun. It does not take up much room in the safe, and did not cost that much, why sell it?

The whole point of the rifle, to me, is a semi-disposable trunk gun, coupled with being a politically correct rifle.
