BCM upper differences

Are there any actual differences between the MK12 upper series and the other 18" uppers?

I'm looking at these two:

Aside from the handguards and some finish work, i can't seem to find any differences between the two.

With the mk12s u get the bcg and ch.

I see another difference is that the more expensive one comes with a BCG/charging handle.

Is that it then, far as purchase goes? Any functional difference?

Well, its the same barrel, and you already said besides the handguards. I think they are both free floated, so in a sense, they mount the same. The upper receiver will be the same. Given that you buy a bcg from them, that will be the same. The same company will be fitting the same kind of barrel into the same kind of upper receiver. Using that logic....function should be the same.

mk12 has a pinned gas block. the other has set screws
