    BB conversion thing????

i saw a BB thread on here a couple of days ago and now that im looking for it i cant find it. it was a BB that you could fully lock then with the twist of an allen wrench u can make it a ca legal BB, and with another twist of the allen wrench u can make it a normal mag release for out of state shooting. who makes it? and what do you guys think of it?

It's not a "Bullet Button" it's a "Radlock". They are both magazine locks. "Bullet Button" is a registered trade mark of a long time member here, Prince50. Radlock is also a long time member here. Both make quality products and, I'm pretty sure that neither one wants their products confused with the other's. BTW, Assault Planet also makes a "Wonder Wrench" which makes a "Bullet Button" into an regular oversized, tactical magazine release when shooting featureless or out of state. Again, both make quality products and you'll be happy with either one.

One more thing, I grew up in Rollingwood and went to Carl Sandburg and Engvall. Hell, Dr. Engvall even went to my church.

Sound like the Radlock, it works great on and off. I even put it on my ar-15 22lr since its easier to install and i can switch lowers if i want to or do another build on top of it.

to be fair, there is a bullet button device that does this, known as the Bullet Button convertible.

By the description of OP this fits the bill a bit better, since the BB convertible uses a small allen key, and the Radd uses a small flat screw driver (or similar)

In addition to the two already mentioned "modes" it can also be set as a full mag lock, in that you would to top load as even using a tool will not drop your magazine.

I have both, both are good and work fine, but I would give a slight nod to the Radd Lock simply for being a lot easier to install.

Yes! That's the one I was talking about. The BB convertable! I saw a video on here somewhere and that's the exact one I was talking about.

One more thing... These things ARE 100% legal to have right? As long as you use only the full lock out mode and the mode that requires you to push the middle button with something thin?

I posted a link in another thread. Installed one a week ago, fantastic piece.

Yes, it is legal. Just double check the set screw to ensure its not in full release mode when your in CA. Only use full release when out of state or when the Zombie Apocalypse hits.
