If it's a range gun, make sure you use it standing up. Most 5.56 compensators do not function very well from a bipod or sandbag position, and you may leave wondering why you wasted your money, as the "feel" is the same as using a standard A2 cage, just with more noise. Muzzle brakes are a different story, as they're designed to keep the gun from pushing back into your shoulder as hard, but not something really necessary for a 5.56 cartridge. The PWS is a compensator, not a brake, it redirects the blast to negate muzzle rise . .. which is something that doesn't happen anyway from a bipod or bags.
