Krebs Ghost Ring Rear Sight for a Saiga

Ghost rings aren't designed to be that far from your eye.
For VERY close range it's good but even for 100yd they are worst then traditional AK leaf sight.
If you look at European military bolt action rifles, most if not all have/had blade leaf sight like an AK. And there's no complain that most of them were not accurate.
There's nothing wrong with AK sights as most just refuse to learn how to use them properly.
If anything, open sights in AK are better for scanning and shooting target on the move when compared to a peep sight.
IMO If you really want to shoot more accurately easier, get good quality red dot sight or low power scope, mounted as low as possible. And if you co-witness it's even better.
That Krebs peep sight is a gimmick imo, I had similar one on several guns and took them off as I found them useless compared to original, then again it was my experience.Comment

I understand I won't be shooting out to 1000m LOL. It seems like these threads seem to suggest getting the 1000m one. I also read this information elsewhere and dont have the links anymore.
Greetings, Ive done my homework and I am about to order the Krebs Peep sight for my Saiga .223. It says Please specify whether your rifle uses an 800 or 1000 meter sight when ordering. So what am I working with here? Should I shoot for the 800 or 1,000? Thanks. I like the looks of this set up. ht...sigpicComment
