    Problem with new AR forend

Okay, so I bought a drop-in ar forend grip. I needed more real estate on my rifle and it seemed like the ideal solution. It installed without any major problems but I did have a small hiccup. The forend is not a freefloat and the front piece of the forend will screw in, but there is no support to keep it in place. Is there a barrel plug that will accomplish this? ATI makes one for freefloat forends and I was wondering if anyone out there might have experience mounting one on a non-freefloat? Any other ideas out there?

    Thanks in advance.

Never mind. I can't understand what you are asking.

I understand what your saying about the free floats, you're talking about the cap at the very front.

I don't understnad your question though, do you have pics?

Don't know why you have a problem with your drop in though, do you not have an A2 front sight? there's usually a metal cap right behind it that holds the drop in hand guards in place. If you don't have an A2 sight or a big gas block in front(typically railed), I think you're out of luck, you'll need a free float.

            It's a non-name brand. That's what I get for going cheap...only paid $50 for it.

Looks to be a knockoff of DD's Omega Rail Extended.

Those are free flaot and are attached at the very back, they don't require a cap.

Looks like you're out of luck.

You may have to remove your sling swivel, it looks like it screws into the top rail, and clamps onto the barrel. Your Swivel and bayonet lug may interfere with it.

what do the directions say, or I take it none came with it...
