If you want to do an autoloader in an AR-10 OAL, 6.5Creedmoor is a bit better an option than the .260, it was designed for feeding out of mags with long bullets, and there is great OTS ammo for it.

6.5Grendel is going to be a SAAMI approved round, and there are way more options with bullets. People are wildcatting the Grendel case like crazy too, going up to 7mm and down to 6. There is factory ammo for the Grendel that will match a .308 out to 1000yards.

I think in 5 years it will be the clear winner.

That is somewhat of a naive statement. Each catagory has their own rules and challenges as I am sure you know. At Camp Perry you will see shooters using different rifles for the different disciplines. There is no end-all-beat-all in this arena of the sport. You must be a skilled and consistant shooter and the rifle's type of action is the smallest part of the equation.

Sgt. Gallagher has won many titles with her rifles.

Here are some more examples of rifles.

And, even though there is no rule disallowing semi's on the line at Palma matches that does not mean you see many of them. Is there some secret we do not know about?

Now, back to you regularly scheduled 6.5 vs. 6.8 debate
