    AR upper sale into CA

    Hi,

I recently moved to CA and left my CA-incompatible tools back in Texas. However, recently I'm in need of a little extra money so I'd like to sell the uppers on my ARs. It seems that uppers aren't regulated in CA, but I thought I'd do a quick post to see.

One of the uppers is the 20" version of this:

It's got 1 assult weapon feature: the A2 flash suppressor. If I take that off, then
it'll have no assult weapon features, so I (or my buyer) can't possibly run into any
    troubles.

Another upper that I'd like to sell is from this:
    Bushmaster XM15ES Super lite A3
Get full access to this domain. Easy, seamless transactions. Zero percent financing available.

It's got 2 assult weapon features: bayonet lug and A2 flash suppressor.
What's involved with this upper's sell? I can remove the A2 suppressor. I
can also replace the A2 sigth assembly w/ a post ban version or see how
hard it is to hack it off.

    Thanks in advance.

No restrictions, sell them as they are currently configured and don't worry about modifying them.

Also the bayonet lug is NOT an AW item in CA.

Keep in mind that not only are uppers not regulated, they aren't even considered firearms. You can do pretty much anything that you want.

No 50BMG or SBR uppers. Everything else should be fine. An upper is not a serialized part that needs to be registered.

Uh, there is nothing illegal about selling or possessing a 50BMG upper in CA. However, you may not mount it on a non AW or 50BMG reg'ed lower. There is no construction possession for AW status in CA.
