    First rounds fired

I broke down and bought a cheep stock to finish my build 'cause I couldn't wait for the STR to come out in FDE. I went ahead and followed break in procedures first, then sighted in at 25 yds. I used cheap PNC and Remington ammo in .223 then ran some xm855.
I aimed for the top left target in the middle and the shots grouped nicely low and right. After a few twists of the rear and front sites I brought it in to center. The bottom target shots were after sighting in. Next I'll sight in at 50 yds. Fun fun fun!

    LRB lower
    DD lpk
    DD 16" carbine length upper
    PSA FA bolt
Strike Industries Patriot Pro pistol grip

By the way, where did you go to sight in your AR? I was at Keswick a couple of weeks ago with my bb'ed AR and the BLM ranger said that my rifle was illegal cause it had more than 3 "modifications not from factory" on it, including my railed handguard etc.

I went to Keswick. There were Ar's all over the place, but I was a little leery after hearing your story. Luckily no drama.

Same here, there were tons of other AR's and even AK's out that day, some without even bullet buttons and "featureless" rifles with "evil" mods! Somehow the ranger decided to literally pick me out of the bunch. After the LEO told me his made up assault weapon laws, I told him I had the CA assault weapon penal codes and the flow chart in my vehicle and the both of us can go over it together and he basically told me to take his word for it and that he was giving me a break for not confiscating my rifle.

Pretty creepy that SOME LEO's can just make stuff up in their own minds and think they are right because they can arrest you, nevermind that you would be proved innocent of any charges.
