I've purchased a few YHM products and haven't been disappointed yet, they seem to be well made and a good value.

other guys will probably know more about the specifics.

I just don't like their Teardrop Forward Assist.

Are you going to use optics? They group things that some people will never use to their packages.

YHM is willing to make subtractions / substitutions to their packages if you call them.

I will be using an EO Tech and maybe a3-9 scope for fun. Thats the reason I want the Flip us sights. I was all set on a cmmg in a similar configuration then I saw this at the gun show the past weekend. I just never heard of them making uppers or anything about the wilson arms barrel. i still am leaning more towards the CMMG with the chrome lined barrel.

I like 1/9 twist myself. I have a SPR 1/8 barrel from CMMG that I get 3" groups at 100yds with 55gr ammo. They recommend 75gr and 77gr ammo to get better accuracy. The 75gr and 77gr ammo cost $1 a round.

YHM are also chrome lined barrels. I sent them my CMMG barrel and had them installed it to my upper with their handguard for free.

YHM makes very nice quality products.

Some folks have complained about their rails on their forends not being in spec (some rail accessories like optics etc. don't mount properly, but i have never ever had that issue with YHM products.

I have a 1/7 barrel in my LMT upper and with 5.56 Guat, Winchester and Federal 55grain, I was grouping consistent 2" at 100 yards. I did have some 2.5"-3" stragglers, but that was a combination of the ammo, and the shooter (me)..

With my 1/9 barreled upper, I was 1.5"-2" groups with the same ammo.

There is a difference in barrel twist with the standard 55grain ammo.

                This line is half BS

                * YHM Diamond Fluting Improves Rigidity and Aids in Barrel Cooling

Fluting a barrel will not make it more rigid. A fluted barrel will be more rigid that an unfluted barrel of the same weight. But if you remove mass from a barrel it does not make it more rigid than the original barrel.

The amount of cooling capacity added is minimal and is countered a bit by the faster heating up of the barrel because you removed mass that was acting as a heat sink.
