Well with the 10 to 12 daily threads about "my new AR" or question about uppers" and the 90% AR dominated gun shows i have personally grown kind of bored of them. Love the platform there's just an overabundance of the garden variety AR at the moment. Not to mention everyone and their mom has one, which is also understandable. I have basically So as my tax refund is approaching i have been leaning more towards the Scar, Acr, Sig 556 and the XCR. I have spent very limited time with the first 3 and all were fairly impressive. Any other suggestions besides the HK or LWRC? I'm looking more towards piston guns, prefer something side-charging and I'm more into combat style weapons not bench guns. Also not looking for an AK.... Mainly something not everyone has. I'm not looking foe ooh's and ahh's just something less common. Prefer to keep stanaag magazine compatibility, but I'm also looking at some .308's. Easy caliber interchangeability would also be a huge plus

Try an F2000. They're pretty damn cool. Maybe put a big expensive 1x/4x optic on it if you like that kind of thing. Or if you really want to go nuts, get a Kel-Tec RFB. -
FS2000 is one of those oddball military style rifles that everyone who has one seems to love. It's nice to switch it up with a bullpup yet still be able to use all those readily available AR mags. However, they aren't exactly on the cheap side. You may be able to find a used one at a decent price. Also, now bullet buttons and muzzle extensions to make them CA OK are pretty easy to find.
Just some food for thought, YMMV.
Edit: Well, claymore beat me to the punch, but that now makes it two votes for the FS2000.RLTW

In my mind none of those are anything more than boutique versions of an AR; expensive platforms to launch the same projectiles.
If the newest piston system floats your boat, than by all means, support your local gun shop and make a liberal wet themselves at the sight of your evil FDE rifleI kinda like the looks of the SCAR, but I wouldn't kick the XCR out of bed either.

Seriously though...what's the best AR and the cheapest place to buy it and which mags do you use and how many of them should I get for a shtf scenario? I ask because none of this has EVER been asked or answered anywhere on the internet.Fallujah had become a magnet for foreign jihadists and there were several thousand in the city who had come to make martyrs of themselves, to die while killing as many Americans as possibleAt each house I said a prayer, 'Please God get me out of this one.' When I come out of the house, I thank Him, light up a cigarette and move on to the next onesigpicComment

if you aren't already ready for SHTF, yer already too late!
On topic: I dunno about that whole 'bullpup' thing, my gut says don't trust it, but then I think it should be given a chance to prove itself - torn!Originally posted by ysr_racerPlease don't bring logic and reason into an interwebs discussionComment
