Took my daughter shooting today she had her Ruger10/22 and shot/destroyed a gingerbread house that she and her grandmother made. I had her shoot the last rounds I had for my AR, she isn't a fan of the big boy rifles and I'm trying to ease her into it.

sweet! I took my friends daughter shooting with us for the first time about a week ago.
Started her on the .22 of course, and then let her give the AR and SCAR a go and she immediately wanted back on the .22!
She managed to shoot almost an entire brick of blazer in just a few hours

Shots of her and the gingerbread house, the last one is her shooting a snowman made from marshmallows. She dug this more than targets at a range lol. Good job dad!
My daughter had the same issue with the bigger rifles. I changed tactics and had her switch from her 10/22 to a semi auto 22mag. Had her "help" pick out the scope and bipod so it ended up looking like a smaller rem700 tactical model that she called her "sniper rifle". After she shot that for a few years she now loves shooting my HK MR556 the best. She's 13.
