    300 win mag barrels?

I searched best I could but can't find squat....I have a Winchester model 70 in 300 Win mag. It just has the thin barrel now but I'm thinking about swapping in a heavy barrel. Obviously, it'll require another stock. The problem I'm having is finding a barrel. Any suggestions?

Order any profile .308 barrel you like and have it chambered for .300WM. Then have the barrel channel milled out to fit the new profile.

Barrels do not come pre-chambered for bolt action rifles (except for Savages) because the chamber length has to be set to the specific distance between your bolt and the front ring of your action.

The Model 70 (if it is a CRF action) also requires the cut out for the extractor in the barrel shank.

Like it was said above, order a 30 caliber contoured blank in the twist that you desire and then take it to a gunsmith for chambering and fitting.
