Loose safety selector with some play

I put in a new safety selector from my Palmetto LPK tonight, and it's pretty loose. Loose as in there's some wiggle play while it's in the lower, but it still clicks into Safe and Fire just fine. However, while it's in Safe or Fire, the lever will jiggle around a good half an inch with play. I tested it extensively with the trigger, and everything still works perfectly. It's just that the safety selector has a bit too much play in the lower, as if the hole is ever so slightly too big (this on a LRB lower I picked up awhile back).

Short of sending my lower off somewhere, or welding up the holes and redrilling & reaming them, is there anything I can try? Different safety that might offer a tighter fit? Will an Ambi safety select offer a tighter fit? Is there anything I can "apply" or rub over the safety select to actually make it harder to move?

Again, it's not affecting the shootability or safety of the rifle, but it's more of a personal peeve that I'd like to fix.

Where are you? I couild let you try another one and see if that has the same issue. If not the ambi may be an option since it secures it at both ends. Also make sure the detente is in there tight.

Usually the select switch spring is weak.
You can stretch it a tad or replace it. Try the stretch first.
