Spikes .22LR upper peeps, having problems with ammo?

I shot over 1k rounds of Federal and 1k rounds of Fiochi and had ZERO problems but today I went and bought cheaper Remington ammo and others and it would not even chamber! I would put the mag in and pull the charging handle back and it would jam over and over. I got a few to chamber but I also had one go off in the chamber. I would take out the ammo and replace it with federal or fiochi and there would be no problems. Anyone else having problems with other ammo?I was looking forward to spending less on ammo but it seems to only like the more expensive ammo.

My upper has the same problems with the Remington Golden Bullets.

AE, CCI Mini Mags, Velocitors, and Federal bulk pack all work fine. Federal is like $10 for 550 rounds at Wal Mart. It is cheaper and a little cleaner than RGBs.

My Ciener kit chokes on the Rem Golden Bullets. In comparing them with the federals, the driving band (or whatever you want to call it) on the golden bullets is farther forward than on the federals. This means that the golden bullet is full diameter farther forward (toward the tip) than the others. I don't know what the chamber of the ciener looks like, but it sure doesn't like the contour of the golden bullets.

Sweet I am going to have to try those. I was getting worried that I was going to have spend $24 per 500 for Federals

gotta love the price of .22lr. my favorite gun to shoot is my modified 10/22 mostly because it is so inexpensive to shoot!

Yea well paying $24 for .22lr is like paying $300 per 500 of .223 . Honestly it is the main gun that I shoot now because of how cheap it is.

stick with fed. remington sucks in my 22. and wal-mart sells the fed bulk pack for $9.88 in fresno for 550 rounds. not bad in my book.

+1 on the Fed Value Pack. Its in Wal Marts everywhere. Make sure it says Value Pack on it and not Champion. The VP works much better.

I don't have a .22 upper but plenty of experience with those Remington rounds not feeding right in both of my .22's. I've got a Marlin 70pss and a Savage 64 and constantly have issues. I've found the copper plated Federals work really well.

I'm really close to that with my 9mm reloads.
I have it right at $28 per 500 rounds right now.
It used to be $23 per 500 rounds before bullets and primers got so expensive.

I think they teach that math on the internet.

The scary thing is that those same people who are learning that math will someday be voting.
