Polytech M14 , Mag release roll pin

Hey there guys, I am installing a magazine lock on my M14 ( Want to retain the original flash hider ) but the roll pin broke. It was extremely hard to punch out , I guess I had deformed it too much and did not want to go back in and well it broke LOL. Where can i buy this roll pin ? This is not the same size as the USGI ones as those are smaller.

Also do they sell roll pins you can cut to size? Would Homedepot/ Lowes / Ace carry them ? And if so do i have to buy a special set of pliers that crimps the edges a bit ?

    Thanks!

Roll pins are pretty common, just about anyplace will have some. Your Polytech is probably metric, make sure the diameter is the same, the length can be cut.

Vise and a grinder? Just trim a little at a time.

Dremel with heavy duty cutting disk works too. Use a vise or vise grips to hold it for safety. Eye protection too, of course.
