I was wondering is there anything i should know about the gun? I got it at a gun show and i need to do some serious cleaning but it has a threaded barrel.Is that bad as far a porformance? The guy said that the cops could give me a hard time about it but is it legal? Just thought i would ask for a second opinion, this forum is always rich with gun knowledge.

In any case the 721 is a great deer gun, and its totally legal even with a threaded barrel.

The 721 was the predecessor of the Remington Model 700 it did not come with a threaded barrel from the factory so someone added that in the last 50 years.
Threaded barrels are no problem on a rifle.Frank
